Before the generator can be connected to a building, electrical system, licensed electrician must install selector isolation (transfer) in the field of the main fuses of the building. The key is the point of connection for the power generator and allows the choice of the manufacturer or main line power of the building. This will prevent the generator from electricity load line (backfeeding), when the main power supply has failed or is turned off for the repair of line. Backfeeding can electrocute or to injure personnel for maintenance of the line. Also generator and construction of electrical system damage can occur during normal operation, power returns, if the unit is used without switch isolation.
